Though this “friendly confines” will not host major league games, it will provide a place for baseball fans of all ages to experience the thrill of participating in a tournament or watching a game in a simulated major league setting. Players, fans, and visitors alike – Cubs fans or not! -- will surely enjoy the experience of visiting this tribute to one of the Midwest’s most beloved landmarks. Play Ball!! "Friends of Little Cubs Field", the non-profit group that will operate and plan activities for Little Cubs Field, is having its next meeting on Wednesday. September 24th at 6pm, 2008 at the Freeport Public Library meeting room. There is no charge to be a member, and you will have a voice in determining the future of this unique facility.
